No. Clio and Lawmatics remain your systems of record. MatterLynx passes requested information to your chosen AI assistant and temporarily stores some review and upload data, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
Yes. MatterLynx works with Clio on its own, Lawmatics on its own, or both. The Lawmatics beta requires administrator access in both MatterLynx and Lawmatics. If your firm uses both, connect both and ask about either one from the same assistant.
No. MatterLynx connects Clio and Lawmatics. If your AI assistant also connects to your email, calendar, or other tools, it can move work between them and your firm’s records.
Yes, within the access your Clio or Lawmatics account has. Choose whether your assistant asks before each update or applies updates automatically. MatterLynx keeps an operational audit trail.
Create your account, select or create your firm, and connect your own Clio or Lawmatics account and AI assistant. Access is automatic during the beta. If a teammate invited you, use their invitation to join the existing firm.
Security
MatterLynx retrieves the Clio or Lawmatics information you request and passes it to your chosen AI assistant over encrypted connections. It does not keep a permanent copy of your case files.
Temporary review data and uploads are encrypted and scheduled for deletion. MatterLynx does not use client or matter data to train AI models.

Clio and Lawmatics OAuth tokens use AES-256-GCM encryption. Our database and private file-storage providers encrypt stored data. Connections use HTTPS/TLS; authorized processing requires access to the data.

MatterLynx never receives your Clio or Lawmatics password. Each person connects their own account, and Clio keeps enforcing their existing permissions.
